PORTLAND ROW COMMUNITY CAFE
Vanessa and Laura from Care Call facilitated the strategy session for Portland Row clients and team. They had a great workshop with lots of ideas. There were a standout couple of quotes from services users:

BALLYMUN YOUTH SERVICE
The young people felt that the Crosscare staff form Ballymun Youth Block, who have developed a relationship with them are friendly and approachable. They mentioned that they felt that the staff listened to them and cared about them individually.

Overall the young people felt that they have learned alot as a result of their participation on the Project. They stated that the time they spend on the project is fun and they got to experience activities that they may not otherwise had experienced.

ARKLOW YOUTH SERVICE
"We completed our focus on Strategy week on Friday :) got some great feedback!!! All staff got stuck in to a workshop on Wednesday facilitated by Niamh Lee from the family hub.
Big consensus to keep the VALUES as they are.
Customer was the preferred language for describing who we serve - we think Sr Stan was influential in this. We had a really interesting session on Friday facilitated by Louise Monaghan from NYCI - she looked at National Strategies with us and how our work fits in under some of these, it might be a good exercise for the review of external environment to list all Crosscare work and see which bits we are hitting under national strategies. This helped us locally to review the effectiveness of what we do and what we might need to change.
There appears to be a big focus on prevention work going forward - maybe we could incorporate that into the new strategy as a lot of our services provide a preventative element. Each youth group that met last week carried out a focus group, it was hard to get honest feedback as many had never even heard of a strategy, but there were a few little gems and we did keep it as youth friendly as Strategy gets. The term Most in need was not really liked by young people but they did not suggest an alternative".
